Oaxaca, Mexico Gazelle Folkart Carving
The ever-inventive Edilberto Cortes has created this dignified gazelle. It is an interesting combination of his signature wavy line design in rose and medium blue on dark blue, with a white dot pattern overall, and an unusual stripe painted down the back in a detailed pre-Columbian design in rose and green. The magnificent horns are turquoise and bright pink, accented with black. The face is highlighted with green eyes and a pink muzzle. Approximate dimensions: 6" Long x 5" wide x 13 " High (including horns). A very nice addition to a folkart collection, especially with its many patterns and unusual color combinations.
