Bold, striking, and collectible screwback earrings from Salvador Vaca Teran. The raised sterling on niello shadowbox motif is similar to the pre-Columbian hands and dots pattern seen on his brass and inlaid tile pitchers. Elegant sterling mid-century candy dish from R.J., a Mexico City maker of ornate silver hollowware listed in Billie Hougarts Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks. The piece is marked R.J., hecho en Mexico, with Sterling (partially rubbed off). The script is similar to that used by Enrique Ledesma in the 1950s, its likely production era. Early and rare sterling pectoral niello necklace and coordinating bracelet from legendary designer Margot de Taxco. Stylistically akin to her first design, the Figure Eight set (5100), this unusual heart-motif parure probably dates to the late 1940s, given the low inventory number (5195 on the necklace, 5195a on the bracelet) and lack of an eagle assay mark on either piece. The bracelet also has an intact barrel clasp, another sign of early Taxco work.

Nice silver-on-copper creamer and sugar set with all-copper tray from Ana Maria Nuρez de Brilanti. Brilanti (aka Victoria), a master of mixed metals (metales casados), was active in Taxco from 1940 to 1978. This set probably dates to 1948 1958, since it is not marked for Cony.
The creamer and sugar bowl are both marked Victoria Taxco Mexico, Copper 482. The tray has the same marks, with a 241 inventory number.

Delightful pair of gaming dice from the Taxco artist who signed his work AP. This set does not appear to be the work of Antonio Pineda. Signed AP encircled by Taxco 925 Sterling. No Eagle assay mark, but its possible these are later that 1948. Each dice measures 5/8 square. The total weight for the set is 11 grams. CONDITION: Very good estate condition, with some scuffs and scratches typical of age and use.

Lovely and intricate sterling silver link bracelet with amethysts from the desirable Taxco artisan BETO. Signed BETO 925 Taxco GRO 925. While there is no eagle mark, the organic, intra-link design is more suggestive of the 1960s than the pre-Eagle era before 1948. The seven plain bezel-set amethysts measure about 5mm each. The bracelet has a wearable length of 7. It weighs 20 grams. CONDITION: Very good to excellent estate condition.

Fluid, swirling sterling silver pin with an amethyst center from Taxco maestro Rafael Salvador Melendez Adan. Rafael began his career with William Spratling at the Taller de Las Delicias in 1932. He started his own workshop in 1939. Judging from the marks, this piece likely dates between 1939 to 1942.
The engraved and cut-work pin is marked RM (small m inside large R) in an embossed circle, 980 Taxco. The bezel-set amethyst is about 10mm. The stone is encircled with fine rope braiding.

One of 12 highly collectible circular bas relief pendants representing the signs of the Zodiac designed by Margot de Taxco in the late 1940s or early 1950s. The Taurus bull and star pendant is signed Margot de Taxco 5230, Eagle 16, Sterling Made in Mexico. The pendant measures 1 5/8 in diameter with a total height of 1 7/8. It weighs about 22 grams. Condition: Very good to excellent estate condition, with one small scratch on the back that could easily be buffed out. Great patina.

Spectacular and highly wearable five-link silver and onyx bracelet in the Art Deco style likely dates from the 1930s or 1940s. Its signed Sterling Mexico.
The beaded and engraved bracelet features 10 diamond-shaped onyx stones set in plain bezels, two per link. Each stone measures about 1 1/8 long x ½ high at the widest point. The total weight is 78 grams≥
CONDITION: Very good estate condition. I had a lapidary smooth some minor chipping in a couple of spots.
