| Nice pair of Mayan-inspired earrings from Taxco silver maestro Gerardo Lopez with soft, glowing patina. Signed Lopez Taxco * 980 *, Eagle 23, Silver Mexico.The earrings bear the designer’s earliest mark (circa 1948-1950, according to Billie Hougart’s excellent guide, “The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks”, new revised edition). The earrings measure 1 1/8” long x 1 1/8” wide. I also have a necklaces by this sought-after mid-century Mexican designer up for auction, so be sure to check my other listings.
