This wonderful figure of a Spotted Owl is Austrian made. The coldpainting is meticulous as are the details on the wings and face. There are no signatures or markings. Many Austrian bronze pieces were not marked. The piece is extremely heavy for its size and measures approximately 5" high and 4" across at the widest point. The figure is circa 1900. This adorable figurine is Austrian bronze circa 1900. It is mounted to a marble base measuring 5 3/4" across by 3" front to back. The figures itself measure 4" high by 4 1/2" across. Cherubs are one of the most popular motifs. The cherubs on this bookslide are adorable and the medallions are in excellent condition. Very unusual colors are used on these medallions. The color pallet is grey and white. On the brass under the medallions is the makers name and patent number. The wood is coromandel which is also known as Kings Wood. Measurements of this bookslide are 15 1/2" x 6 3/4" and it is circa 1870. Shipping and Insurance costs will be quoted at time of sale based on destination.
