Circa 1860-1910 Choisy Le Roy French faience or majolica plate in this popular pheasant pattern. Raised surface nicely detailed. Overall crazing as you would expect from a piece of this age. Very good estate piece measures 9". Hallmarked as shown with HB (Hippolyte Boulenger) a director at the pottery. A great value!
Antique French Majolica figural jug or bottle from Keller Guerin of Ste. Clement France. Originally produced as an Absinthe bottle which came in a variety of shapes to hold the scandalous elixir. This cockatoo or parrot is brightly glazed. Besides usual crazing there is no damage to this piece. One manufacturers flaw is small unglazed area on left cheek size of rice grain. Napoleon III (mid 1800s) Eglomise Grand Tour Jewelry Casket.. the subject matter is rare. Reverse painting depicting the Church of the Holy Sepulchre within the walled Old City of Jerusalem.
