Whimsical beadwork and needlework firescreen depicts a cockatoo. English origin circa 1850s-70s, with original side tassels and it's beautifully made gilt metal (brass?) extension arm. The weighty arm is hinged and has a decorative clamp that can be attached to your mantle. Alternatively, this unique textile would be a perfect candidate for framing. Lovely needlepoint pillow is all hand worked. Classic pattern is after the original antique textile hanging in the Musée de Cluny of Paris. This large size decorator pillow is all wool yarns with a tapestry pattern satiny rayon backing and black velvet wrapped trim. There is a down pillow inside thats removable. This is not a commercially produced pillow. Last image shows actual tapestry from the Museum in Paris.
