40s sterling silver Mexican earrings, this design by William Spratling, his rendition of an early aboriginal interpretation of the conch shell. These are hallmarked Taxco, the other Sterling indicating a pre 1948 production. Patina left untouched. They measure 1". These are possibly early unmarked Spratling earrings but without a signature so are being sold at a very reasonable price. Enrique Ledesma also produced variations on this design.
