Interesting tradition of Victorian times was to gift one bangle bracelet to the bride to be upon engagement and the other upon the wedding. This pair is dated 1878. I've had new gold filled safety chains added to replace the lost originals. These were most likely gilt brass, the finish is perfectly consistent on both they appear as unworn. Opening measures 2 1/4" wide and they're hinged so will fit most. The bracelets measure 1/2" wide.

Beautiful example of 1920s pressed celluloid jewelry. This butter basted bangle is 1 3/16" wide. Cabbage roses and rose leaves are deeply molded against a lush daisy and bachelor button ground. It's pierced and has a luminescence to the finish. No chips! These were made to imitate ivory and you would be hard pressed to pick this out of a lineup, its a great faux that looks terrific paired with other celluloids or mixed with bakelite and catalin stacked half way to your elbow. Rich black cherry colored bakelite bracelet in hard to find cuff form. This chunky design is scored with three vertical grooves. The color is swirled with an "end of the day" catalin look. No Cracks or Chips. 5 1/4" interior end to end. 1 1/4" opening. 1 1/4" wide at best. Fully tested and gtd.
