Interesting tradition of Victorian times was to gift one bangle bracelet to the bride to be upon engagement and the other upon the wedding. This pair is dated 1878. I've had new gold filled safety chains added to replace the lost originals. These were most likely gilt brass, the finish is perfectly consistent on both they appear as unworn. Opening measures 2 1/4" wide and they're hinged so will fit most. The bracelets measure 1/2" wide.
