Contemporary art by Nathan Lefthand features a stunning Blue Gem Mine Turquoise set in sterling silver. The unusual shank form of double rounds frame a medicine bear to one side and a bear track to the other. The artist told me he used Black Hills gold for these medalions. Condition is new. Size is 9.5 to 10. Face about 1" tall. Flawless! and signed.
Wide ivory cuff bracelet has a nutty mellow patina from age and normal use. Easy to wear style open at the back. Vividly enhanced by overall Schreger lines. Measures about 1 3/8" wide just over 6 1/4" end to end on the INSIDE. Gap measures 1". More detail upon request.
Large and colorful Navajo silver cuff bracelet with rain clouds, sunbursts and large turquoise and coral gems. Fantastic example of mid-century Route 66 tourist trade silver. This bears the Tobe Turpen Shop Mark. Measures 5 1/4" INTERIOR end to end, plus a 1 1/4" gap thats slightly flexible. 1 1/2" wide and tapers slightly to back, 75gr. Fred Harvey era tourist trade cuff bracelet in sterling silver set with Royston mine turquoise. Hand-stamped with sunrises and arrows. Face measures just over 1/2". Measures 5" end to end with an additional 1 1/4" gap thats flexible. No damage.
Zuni pendant in fine stone to stone inlay work in the navette shape. Mother of pearl and abalone shell, turquoise, coral, black onyx. The inlay work is framed by long feathers. The pendant measures 1 3/4" has no damage and is signed by engraving pen but I'm unable to determine artist with certainty. This pendant is mighty for it's size.
ZUNI butterfly pin circa 1930s. Stone to stone inlay of colorful turquoise, apparently Blue Gem mine, jet and clamshell. Notice the distinctive rope loop surrounding the plain bezels. Collectors condition, investment quality item measures 1 7/8" x 1 3/8".
Huge Navajo hoop earrings are handmade and hand-stamped. These are a fine old design you won't find commonly. Screw-back clasps easily converted to shepherd's hooks if so preferred. Measure 2 5/8" top of drop to bottom and 2" wide. Actual hoops measure 2 1/2" x 2". Unsigned.
Early Navajo ring is set with two Sleeping Beauty Mine stones in the clear blue true turquoise color thats most desirable. Looking at these stones, it's easy to understand why turquoise is known as "sky stone". The ring is an early example with beaded surrounds and incredible leaf embellishments. Size 10 face measures just over 1 1/2"
