Unusual ivory bead choker with two strands of warm brown butter tone spheres. 1920s era necklace features a hand carved hook and bar type closure clasp as well as two ivory stations set with sterling silver bar overlays marked for 925 standard. At the central drop, three of the beads are handcarved in a cross hatch pattern. The choker measures approximately 17" end to end at shortest strand. Striking ivory cuff bracelet hand-carved bypass style with spring hinge of vermeil or gold plated silver. Lovely warm butter to rosy tones to the ivory with swirling graining visible (Schreger lines). Measures 2" wide at the face where the segments intersect. Measures approximately 6 5/8" interior when closed but the style allows for much expansion. Tapers down to 5/8" at the clasp. Tortoise shell belt or necklace is hand-carved and features a seahorse pendant drop; this belt circa 1950. It measures 37" end to end not including the pendant portion. It's shortened by hooking the clasp onto other links. There is an additional link that you can place wherever you want it for use as a belt and it's currently at the 33" mark. The seahorse measures about 2 1/4" long. Can be worn successfully as either a belt or an interesting necklace therefore.

Antique African ivory bangle bracelet both wide and large. Fine patina, overall crosshatching and great oval shape. This one was made to fit over the elbow to the upper arm or what is known as a bicep bracelet or armlet. It measures 3 7/8" across the interior at widest by 3" opposite interior measure. The bracelet measures up to 1 3/8" wide. The interior measures approximately 10.5" around. Typical wear consistent with normal use and no cracks or chips.
