Silver cuff bracelet with tooled and oxidized whirlwind pattern created by award winning Hopi smith McBride Lomayestewa (1920s-2001), member of the Snow clan of Shungopavi 2nd Mesa, Arizona. Lomayestewa began smithing in 1955 and his silver work is well referenced. Mystical smiling katsina dance ring by Zuni lapidarist and silversmith Angela Cellecion is a study in channel inlay work. Materials, some of which are carved, include tortoise shell, mother of pearl, spondylus and turquoise, jet and abalone. The artist, who began smithing in 1942, worked with her husband, Oliver. The ring measures about 2" tall and 1 7/8" wide. It is signed AC ZUNI. Size 7, it is in excellent condition. ref: Bell and Barton Wright.
