Nice chunky central bead measures 1" and graduate down nicely to 1/4". The 19" necklace is strung on gold-filled chain you will probably never need to restring. Their symmetry is just slightly off at the closure, (a bead or two more on one side than the other), but the wearer is the only one who will be able to detect this.

Antique bone beads have turned a deep ivory color, these are taking on the look of old wood. Simply strung on white silk without knots. 28" strand with largest center bead measuring about 5/8". They are heavy as tusk ivory but lack schreger lines. They are smooth and dense. Here in the Northwest we see alot of these fossil bone beads coming down from Alaska. The strand is matched and very nicely graduated.

Rare offering for a mid-Victorian festoon necklace of carved Whitby jet. This ornately designed bib fits close to the collar bone with the top strand running about 15". The three rows of carved beads are suspended by hand-carved and polished terminals and a row of round beads is at the back for comfortable wearing.
