Rookwood pottery holy water font a figural example in likeness of Saint Francis in his hooded monk's habit (robe) and rope belt at waist. This font, mold #6975 and circa 1947 was designed by Clotilda Zanetta in the Arts and Crafts or Mission style, and is done in what is known as their Wine Madder Glaze. The font has a built-in ring for hanging at the top and measures 8 3/4" x 4 1/4" approximately. Light overall crazing and no damage or repairs.
Belleek Holy Water font in Sacred Heart on Cross with shell shaped bowl. This fine Irish porcelain art, circa 1950's 2nd green mark aka 5th period for Belleek is pierced for hanging on three points so can easily be permanently mounted. These early fonts were a constant but smaller production line at Belleek and are therefore scarce. The font measures 7" tall, the translucent bowl is 3 1/8" wide. There is no damage or repair to this beautiful example.
