Large Victorian mourning locket is unadorned on both sides. The interior is ornately molded with fleur-de-lis motifs. This locket is paired with a long ebony guard chain. These chains were placed around the neck to hook onto a ladie's hand muff. These round beads are knotted in between. This necklace was worn as doubled about the neck. Large Victorian gilded metal locket with AEI monogram superimposed to reference the Victorian sentiment of Amity, Eternity and Infinity. Mourning lockets contained photos of loved ones and sometimes a lock of hair as momentos to wear close to one's heart. Sentimental English locket is entirely engraved and dates to the Edwardian period just after the turn of the century, 1905 or thereabouts. It's 9 kt English, yellow gold stamped on reverse and is engraved with initials MC in a cartouche. It holds a sweet photo of a young lad in winter knits. The locket measures 1 1/2" including the bale and is 7/8" wide. It snaps shut and is in beautiful condition.

Very early Navajo made ring completely hand-made. The bisbee stone is deep blue with chocolate black matrix; it's paired with a branch coral. The bezels are all hand cut; the face of the setting is hand-filed. The shank is hand-cut. This is done in the style of Hopi silversmiths, with a recessed ground that's oxidized. It's signed with an incised initial "F" by the artist. Size 8 1/2 and face of ring measures 1 1/4" x 1".
