Excellent German stoneware stein bears motto "Trink was klar ist, Lieb was rar ist" or drink what is pure and love what is rare. Front panel has relief scene of father in cellar barrels behind him and family before him. Decorative tall pewter lid with ornate thumbrest. Incised underside #1302, 7 3/4" tall. No damage or wear.
