| Genuine Whitby Jet carved cameo drop pendant necklace is hung on black velvet, to be worn as a necklace or choker length. Pendant is pierced and polished with a gold fitting thats attached to the top "bale" portion. This features a cameo medalion carved in high relief of a maiden. Circa 1870s. This type of jewelry was considered suitable for long periods of mourning which were endured during this era. No chips to the jet. Drop measures 3" long x 1 1/8" wide.
