| Needlepoint carpet bag from V Handbag Co of Montreal, Quebec. This is the mother bag of all needlepoint purses. Its a giant 16" x 12" tall not including the handle. Both sides are beautifully detailed petit point in big cabbage roses at the centers and the surround is done in gros point wreaths. Underside is completely needlepoint wrapped as are the sides. The hardware is electroplate gold; the interior fitted in black leather and is compartmentalized with two side pockets; there are black leather gussets at the top of the sides. 5 feet protect the base. In exceptional condition, the maker's tag is attached inside. Original black leather handle is excellent and drop is 6". Only disclosure is tiny oxidation on frame in one spot. | |||||||||||
