Modernist sterling silver and gold vermeil necklace and earrings designed and signed circa 1950's by American and Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. Necklace measures 16 1/2" wearable length. The pair of pendants measure 2 1/2" X 2"L. Necklace weighs 73 grams. Screwback earrings measure 1 1/8"L X 1" and weigh 13 grams. Both necklace and earrings are in beautiful condition. Clasp is tight and secure. Spratling named this design "lenguas" or tongues of fire. Pictured on p. 93 of SILVER SEDUCTION THE ART OF MEXICAN MODERNIST ANTONIO PINEDA and in WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE P.246. Both necklace and earrings are fully hallmarked with WS script, SPRATLING MADE IN MEXICO, 925 and eagle #30.

Vintage 1950's sterling silver and turquoise cuff bracelet designed and signed by the famous southwest designer Frank Patania Sr. (1889-1964). Bracelet measures 1 inch wide. The interior measures 5 3/4 inches from end to end with a 1 inch gap opening for a total wearable length of 6 3/4". Comprised of 7 Burnham turquoise nuggets mounted in serrated bezel settings. 1950's vintage sterling silver and turquoise necklace designed and signed by reknowned southwest designer Frank Patania. Necklace measures 16 inches long. Center panel is 1 1/2" X 1 1/2". Comprised of nine panels measuring 7 inches across and 25 turquoise nuggets mounted in serrated bezel settings. Weight is 69 grams, 2.04 oz. Rarely seen on the market this strong, wide design is considered one of Hector Aguilar's finest. Made and signed circa 1940-45 the bracelet is hallmarked HA STERLING MADE IN MEXICO and measures 1 3/8" wide with a 6 1/2" inside wearable length. This bracelet was featured in the museum exhibit WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE and pictured in the museum catalog by Penny Morrill on page 151. Beautiful vintage condition with a couple of small dimples on bottom tips. Insured shipping included.

Sterling silver and amethyst pendant designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. Pendant measures 2 1/2"H X 2 1/4". Carved amethyst columns form an inlaid cross design within a heavy decorative butterfly shaped sterling silver frame. Fully signed on the back - WS 925 TAXCO MEXICO eagle #30. Circa 1956-62 this pendant was featured in the museum exhibit WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE and is pictured on p. 150 of Penny Morrill's book of the same name. Rare 1944-46 sterling silver bracelet designed by American & Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). Bracelet measures 7" long X 2 1/8" wide. Signed WS SPRATLING MADE IN MEXICO on the reverse. Tight and secure in their bezel setting the carved blue and green azurmalachite stones appear to overlap in the center. Two of the stones have a fine hairline that is noticed only on close inspection. Snap closure works perfectly. Pictured on p.41 of MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill and Carole Berk along with a matching necklace. Also pictured on Phyllis Goddard's site spratlingsilver.com. Insured shipping included in U.S.

Rare SPRATLING DE MEXICO sterling silver box designed and signed (c. 1949-52) by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). Box measures 3 2/3" X 2 3/4" X 3/4"H. The lid is inlaid with rich brown and yellow shell and silver balls forming a diamond pattern. Fully hallmarked Spratling De Mexico with the eagle # 13. Beautiful vintage condition with no chips or cracks. A later design of this box is pictured on spratlingsilver.com and in SPRATLING SILVER by Cederwall and Riney.

Early vintage handmade sterling silver bracelet designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar(1905-86). Measures 7 inches long X 1 inch wide. Comprised of 9 repousse wave panels with applied rope trim. Penny Morrills's book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO pictures the bracelets' hallmarks - HA STERLING MADE IN MEXICO and states that those marks were used on Aguilar designs from 1940-45. Slide in pin closure attached with safety chain are perfectly secure. Beautiful vintage condition and patina with no dents or dings.
