Rare outstanding sterling silver and amethyst bracelet designed and signed c.1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). Measures 1 1/2" wide with a wearable length of 6 1/2" long. Comprised of 6 panels each holding an amethyst cone shaped stone set into the center of a round bezel frame. Slide in pin closure and safety chain work smoothly and securely. Beautiful vintage condition with no chips or cracks to the stones and no dings to the silver. Fully hallmarked as shown. Featured in the recent museum exhibit WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE and shown on p.252 of the book of the same name by Penny Morrill. Also pictured in SILVER SEDUCTION ANTONIO PINEDA by Gobi Stromberg p.94 and included on Phyllis Goddards' website spratlingsilver.com
