| Intricately handwrought sterling silver pin or brooch designed and signed c.1940's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). The pin measures 6 1/2 inches long X 2 3/4 inches. Beautiful condition. Pin back and safety work perfectly. Fully hallmarked on the reverse. Referred to as the "wavy bow pin" this design was featured in the museum exhibit WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE. The museum catalog pictures Rosa Covarrubias wearing this magnificent design in a photograph on p. 122.
