| Very early sterling silver and amethyst brooch designed and signed (c.1930's)by Taxco, Mexico silver designer William Spratling (1900-1967). This is one of Spratling's signature designs. 2 1/4" X 1 3/4". The owls' eyes extend out 1/2". Beautiful vintage conditon with no dents or dings, no chips or cracks to the stones. The piece carries one of Spratling's earliest hallmarks. Pictured in Morrill and Berks' MEXICAN SILVER. | ||||||
