| Fine grouping of sterling silver nautilus footed bowls designed and signed (c.1940's) by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-1967). Measurements in diameter X height- 6" X 3", and 4" X 2". Excellent vintage condition with some surface wear - no dents or dings. Each is handmade of heavy gauge sterling silver with rolled edges and 3 applied conchshell shaped feet. Each correctly hallmarked. Similar bowls were featured in WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE and are pictured on page 175 of the museum catalog by Penny Morrill. Spratling designs are included in permanent museum collections around the world. | ||||||
