Antique cart carved teak wood cart decoration. The hand carving depicts a bird eating or smelling a flower as it sits into the wind on another bloom. This is the best example of the old Burmese wooden ox cart decorations we have ever found. Even the original paint is pretty much intact. Circa 1880 - 1920. Antique Burmese ox cart wood carving. Hand carved of teak wood about one hundred years ago, this beautiful example of the decorations once used to adorn on ox carts, features a humming bird taking nectar from a flower. As you can see, there are a few minor scuffs, that can be covered with shoe polish. We kept it as found. Size: 13" tall, 13.5" wide, 2" deep (Base: 4" x 12")

Burmese primitive antique bronze elephant bell. These ornate bronze bells were used by the villagers of old Burma to locate elephants (not that it seems likely to loose one)if they grazed their way into the jungle and as as adornments. Professionally mounted with a steel rod stem and a modern clear Lucite base, that matches any table top. Beautiful patina. Excellent condition. Circa 1880 to 1920. Size: 3 inch diam bell, 9 inch tall (including stand), 5 x 3.5 inch base.

I know this is not really in keeping with the theme of this site, but when I saw this item in Mae Sai, Thailand, I thought it both beautiful and unique enough to add it to our site. Antique terra-cotta temple amulet with Lord Buddha depictions. Recently unearthed during an expansion, at a temple (wat) in Lampoon Thailand, were a number of these well preserved Buddhist temple amulets (kruang rang or phra kruang). Sold by the monks, we were fortunate enough to get a few. We mounted this one on an attractive black stand. 6 inch tall, 3 1/2 inch wide (Including stand).
