Antique hand painted and etched lacquerware trunk from Thailand. Nice example of the Thai style of lacquerware. Some small damage to the finish, but still in good condition. Wooden Garuda the bird animal god. This beautiful Garuda carving was acquired from a Buddhist temple (Wat) in Northern Thailand, during a recent renovation. The dealer had added some gold leaf to cover the old red paint, prior to us purchasing the sculpture. We built a steel cradle mount to display the artifact, without the need for any drill holes. Bronze cast Vishnu Hindu God. This image of Vishnu is extremely intricate, even the base of the statue has depicted animals in the forest in great three dimensional clarity. Vishnu is regarded as a major god in Hinduism and Indian mythology. Antique Burmese style Asian solid wood cart wheel. This wheel was found in North Thailand and is nicely aged. We made a cradle stand for it so no holes were drilled into the antiquity and they can be separated at any time. Handmade made by a villager many years ago, you can still see some of the primitive tool marks. Great home decor accent piece for the modern house. Circa 1850 to 1910. Beautiful Asian primitive mounted sticky rice pan. These hard wood teak trays were handmade by the rural villagers of Northern Thailand. Antique cow or water buffalo bell from Myanmar (Burma). The Burmese villagers handmade these ornate bells of bronze, to help control their small herds of buffalo or cattle. The buffalo were mainly used to pull the plows of the rice farmers. Mounted on an attractive black base. Great primitive home decor accent piece.
