Antique teak wood Burmese ox cart decoration. Intricately hand carved branches opening into branches with a bird perched looking into the wind. Back in the day these cart decorations would have been mounted in the front of the cart. This decorative piece features a bird leaning forward into the wind. Circa 1880 to 1920. Beautiful Ornate Carved Burmese Cabinet. Massive carvings abound on this truly unique convex glass faced cabinet. It looks to be all original, except some of the hardware. The huge feet of the chest are deeply carved lions (Enlargement 5). The crown piece and base are made up of carved stunning leaf and flower designs (enlargement 3 and 5). The British influence is strong from the colonial times. Circa 1830 to 1900. Dimensions: 39" W, 27.5" D, 85" H.

Antique Burmese colonial wood bench. This beautiful piece of furniture was handmade in Burma during the time when Burma was an English colony. Beautiful wood grain is augmented by our very basic restoration. We lightly sanded the old gray aged surface and applied two coats of natural clear tree lacquer to the surface. Excellent condition and still a strong and practical piece. Circa 1880 - 1930. 81.5" long x 24" wide x 33" tall.

Ancient Bann Chiang round bottom ceramic pot. Not restored. In museum quality. The people that created this ceramic settled in what is now known as the Nong Han district in Udon Thani Province of Thailand. They prospered from about 6000 years ago. This piece is from what is known as the late period from 300 BC - 1 AD. The relic is in near perfect condition and comes with a flat black metal mount for easy display and to help keep the pot safe. Antique rustic wooden gate piece from Thailand. Not a fence post. This was the type of gate used 80 to many hundreds of years ago. Hand crafted by villagers for keeping their water buffalo of cattle in. Two of these large poles would be made with corresponding holes for smaller poles to be slid through to close of that section. Age is impossible to know. 80 to 200 years old is a reasonable estimate. Size: 52 1/4 inch tall.

Rural handmade teak wood sitting Buddha image. The wooden Buddha was carved by a villager to make merit, then given to the village Buddhist temple to make merit. Originally it was covered in black lacquer, but later the monks covered it in gold paint and other lacquer colors. Slight insect damage to the base front.
