Antique bronze Asian Elephant Bell. Hand crafted completely of bronze, these bells were once used by the owners to keep track of their elephants in the jungles. Later the collars were modified and the same bells were used with the villagers cattle or water buffalo. Please see detail of suns, birds, vines and other decorations with the Burmese writing signifying the craftsman who created the bell. Circa 1850 - 1930.
