Bird looking to sky cart decoration from Burma. The bird is depicted standing on a leafed branch looking to the heavens. The long part behind him at one time was used to connect the piece to the ancient cart. This style hand crafted teak wood decoration adorned the ox or buffalo carts that were the main mode of transportation many years ago in Burma. Great condition and beautiful patina. Antique Asian wood wheel. Beautiful, hard to find, smaller cart wheel. Aging is extremely deep giving it a very dramatic look. This wheel was hand carved ages ago in by some village craftsman. We handsomely mounted it on a sturdy black 2 tiered base with a felt liner, so it won't scratch your antiquities. Excessively well preserved rustic Burmese cart decoration. Handmade of teak, from the time that there was no choice.
