Antique cow or water buffalo bell. The Burmese villagers handmade these ornate bells of bronze, to help control their small herds of buffalo or cattle. The buffalo were mainly used to pull the plows of the rice farmers. We mounted the bell on a Lucite base, to insure that this artifact will look nice with any modern home decor. Great accent piece. After death the Thai Buddhists have up to a week of rituals that culminate with a funeral pyre to cremate the dead. Antique Burmese style Asian solid wood cart wheel. This wheel was found in North Thailand and is nicely aged. We made a cradle stand for it so no holes were drilled into the antiquity and they can be separated at any time. Handmade made by a villager many years ago, you can still see some of the primitive tool marks. Great home decor accent piece for the modern house. Circa 1850 to 1910.
