Antique rural sitting Buddha from Laos. This Type of Buddha was carved and painted by hand by a villager in Laos for either giving to the temple to make merit or for home worship. Wood is in good condition with mild insect damage. Small traces of paint are still visible on this primitive Buddha image. Size: 12.5" Tall, 4" wide, 2.5" deep.

Ancient Bann Chiang round bottom ceramic pot. Not restored. In museum quality. The people that created this ceramic settled in what is now known as the Nong Han district in Udon Thani Province of Thailand. They prospered from about 6000 years ago. Antique rustic wooden gate piece from Thailand. Not a fence post. This was the type of gate used 80 to many hundreds of years ago. Hand crafted by villagers for keeping their water buffalo of cattle in. Two of these large poles would be made with corresponding holes for smaller poles to be slid through to close of that section. Age is impossible to know. 80 to 200 years old is a reasonable estimate. Size: 52 1/4 inch tall.

Rural handmade teak wood sitting Buddha image. The wooden Buddha was carved by a villager to make merit, then given to the village Buddhist temple to make merit. Originally it was covered in black lacquer, but later the monks covered it in gold paint and other lacquer colors. Slight insect damage to the base front.
