Primitive carved wooden Laotian folk Buddha. Carved, long ago, by a villager from a single piece of wood, covered in lacquer and Glit. Much of old lacquer and pigments are still in tact. Size: 8 1/4 inch tall, 3 1/2 inch wide, 2 1/2 inch deep.
Rustic carved wood Laotian folk Buddha. Hand carved, long ago, by a villager from a single piece of wood, as a donation to the village temple, to make merit or for home worship. Wood is in good condition but little pigment remain. Size: 11 1/4 inch tall, 3 1/4 inch wide, 1 3/4 inch deep.
Rural handmade teak wood sitting Buddha image. The wooden Buddha was carved by a villager to make merit, then given to the village Buddhist temple to make merit. Originally it was covered in black lacquer, but later the monks covered it in gold paint and other lacquer colors. Slight insect damage to the base front. Size: 10.5 inch tall, 2 inch wide, 2 inch deep.
