| Beautiful elephant bell from Myanmar (formally Burma). This ornate bronze bell was used by the Burmese villagers of old to locate elephants (not that it seems likely to loose one) if the elephants grazed their way into the jungle and as adornments. Professionally mounted with a steel rod stem and a modern black base. Beautiful patina. Attractive home decor item. Circa 1880 to 1930.
