| Fine lacquerware and eggshell tissue box cover from Thailand. A stunning practical example of fine Thai Lacquerware. The process is centuries old and includes a minimum of seven coats of Asian tree lacquer in thickness over a bamboo mesh base. Each layer is hand smoothed with a water and abrasive process to a fine gem finish. The decorative egg shell is applied by the artist like a mosaic and then clear coated and water smoothed over to give you a glass like finish. Size: 6" x 6" x 6".
