| Asian wood string puppet head. Asia is famous for its puppets. They have shadow, hand and string puppets. This piece is an excellent example of the large string puppets of Burma (Myanmar), that were very popular until the early 20th century. The aging process has left this piece with a great rustic look, and the pigments in the old paint still show well. Please see the enlargements.
