| Beautiful Art Deco glass decanter with carved and etched designs of a figure playing an instrument. There is also some gold and blue enameling in various places. The decanter is beveled at various angles, and the sides are in a somewhat faceted shape. I believe it was probably made in Czechoslovakia or France, but it is unmarked at the bottom, where there is some surface wear due to movement. It measures 10 1/4" high to the top of the stopper, 7 1/8" wide, and 2 3/4" deep. There are approx. 6 flea bites on various edges, and two chips of approx. 1/4" each (one on the bottom). There are also some mineral deposits inside the decanter, and the blue coloring surrounding the figure on one side has been removed. These flaws seem worse in writing than when looking at the piece. Unless one is closely examining the glass, they are really not very noticeable. Only the mineral deposits are clearly seen, and these can be removed with the proper chemical. | |||||||||
