A delightful polychrome hand carved wood nutcracker in the form of a lady carrying an umbrella and wearing a scarf. She stands 8" high. Early 20th Century. Very charming, in excellent condition.
A wonderful bronze box signed by McClelland Barclay (1891-1943) with a 3 dimensional scotty dog (Scottish Terrier) on the lid. The interior of the box is lined in wood.

This piece is fully hallmarked with the Queen Victoria Head duty mark of the reigning monarch), E.S.(makers mark of Edward Smith) , Date mark (for 1846), lion Passant (mark for English sterling silver), Anchor (mark of the Birmingham assay office).
The vinaigrette is in beautiful condition. No breaks, no dents, no repairs. The grille is finely pierced and engraved. Both the grille and the box hinge work perfectly.
