The work of Evald Nielsen (1879-1958) is as well known in Denmark as Georg Jensen. This magnificent brooch is by Nielsen, a prominent Danish silversmith whose work rivals Georg Jensen in beauty and craftsmanship. He is admired as one of the best Skonvirke designers and opened his own shop in 1907.
