A wonderful RARE GOLD VICTORIAN BROOCH featuring a large piece of gold quartz with hanging dangles from the Gold Rush Period in the 1800's. The edge of the gold quartz stone is beveled and set in a bezel setting. No markings as most of this type of jewelry was not marked. It has been tested for gold with of minimum of 14K and more likely that it is 18K. The pin has an early C catch closure. Measurements: 2 1/2" long x 1 3/4 wide This type of gold in quartz gold rush jewelry is quite scarce and desirable by collectors. |
