This antique French match safe is sterling silver and gold plated on the overlay design. The lip has sterling silver marks and the boar's head mark and DEPOSE. The match safe has a lizard skin design. Very good condition - there is one slight ding on a lower corner. Some wear on the gold plating. Lid snaps tightly shut. I have seen a remarkably similar match safe signed by Charles Murat (French maker) Measures 1 3/4" long x 1 1/2" wide |
