18th Century Oak Blanket Chest c1720. This chest is a beautiful rich colour which only comes through very many years of polishing. It has a top carved frieze four panels with diamond shaped carvings of scrollwork, well could well have been done in Victorian times which is quite normal. There are two panels each end and a three plank top. A lovely piece, direct from one of Norfolk's finest halls. Size: 55"inches Long 25"inches High 22 1/2"inches wide

(For Restoration) This charming Bureau had been in daily use until a few months ago. It is predominantly oak but the ends and surface in front of the interior drawers are Walnut. There are four long drawers with what well could be its original brass handles, plain bracket feet, the full front opens to reveal two long, two medium and two short drawers the central door is present but no attached. It has been used as a wine cellerette and is photographed in situ at one of Norfolks finest old halls, where it has been for many years. These lovely dishes are raised on a central foot, there is a lovely pierced border. The hallmarks are for Birmingham 1925 with makers initials A Bros & Co. which is for Aidie Brothers Ltd, of Frederick Street, Birmingham. This pair have been in the same beautiful Norfolk, family home since they were purchased new around 1925. Size: 10cm in diameter (4"inches)
