19th Century Dutch Onion Pattern Tea/Coffee Set.
I purchased this lovely set from a Dutch lady who lives in England
It comes from Northern Holland and has been in her family for over
one hundred years.
There is a makers mark on the underside of the pieces (as shown)
but I have been unable to identify it. Perhaps someone can help.
It comprises of Ten cups, eleven saucer dishes, Tea/Coffee pot
with stand, milk jug (loss to edge), sugar pot and a slop bowl.

This fine Armorial plate is from Gunton Hall in Norfolk.
It was the seat of the Suffield family (Baron Harbord)
The crest is beautifully painted in the centre, A lion on
a "Chapeau Gu Couchaut Arg" to quote an entry from
a book of Crests.
The plate has a classic "Apple Green" ground complimented
by fine gilding which is in quite remarkable condition considering
its age.
I bought this from the sale of contents at Gunton Park in 1979.
Size 26 cm 10 1/4inches.
