This lovely little clock was absolutely black when I acquired it. The lady who works for me spent two hours giving the gilt brass a good clean and has completely transformed it, obviously the inside has not been touched. It is keyless having its own winder so no chance of getting lost. All of the glass panels are bevelled. This quality oil painting on board depicts a light bay hunter gelding in a stable with its bridal waiting to be tacked up in readiness for a day’s hunting. He has been fully clipped with a hogged mane, only the legs have been left to protect against mud etc. A white blaze and three white socks about 16.3 hands high.
