These most rare and interesting pieces were originally thought by experts to be childrens chamber pots, but through research into the VOC (Dutch East India Company) records revealed that they were especially ordered to be used after someone had indulged a large meal the vomit pot would come out from under the table! Because some of the pattern was put on over the glaze, it has been eroded by the sea. A fine pair of "silver shaped"suce boats. A silver sauce boat would of been sent from Europe to China with instructions to reproduce it in porcelain and this is the result. These handsome pieces painted with magnolia a chrysanthemum and flowering peach on the outside with a peony on the inside. There is a small frit on the rim of this bowl shaped jug but considering where its been i find it most acceptable. "Bowl shaped jugs". These pieces are quite unusual and rare. It is thought that they were used for pouring the cream off milk. These interesting mugs are decorated with an under glaze blue tree peony growing from rock on a terrace. Coloured enamels are applied over the glaze. Still unused.! This attractive trio is in a pale green opaque glass, it is decorated with garlands of daisies on a darker green ground. The applied pattern on the lighter green glass depicts leafy branches with berries. All the pieces are in very good condition, one of the smaller vases has a faint line on the back which is in the manufacture. Three classic pieces of Victoriana.

This well executed oil canvas depicts two cows grazing beside a stream with hills in the background. The cows have obviously pushed down the old fence to get to water. There are initials to the lower left which look like "P.l". a most pleasing tranquil scene. Framed in the later quality gesso. An amount of crackleur which is acceptable considering its age.

This very fine watercolour depicts a pack of hounds in full cry, followed by the Huntsman and the Master set in the rolling British countryside. I think the hills in the background could be in North Wales. The attention to detail is superb, the artist certianly knew about horses and hounds. The execution of this picture is almost primitive especially the hounds. A lovely picture for a collector of hunting memborabillia. It is in an old maple frame with a giltwood slip.
