16thC Marine Art Salt Glaze Chinese Shipwreck Jar
16th Century Marine Art Salt Glaze Chinese Shipwreck Storage Jar. This wonderful European salt glaze storage jar is adorned all over with sea life, making it a unique piece of marine art. The light brown glaze is in subtle shades almost pink in parts. Considering its age and where it has come from it's in remarkable condition with only minor chips to the foot. Size: 18.5cm Tall. This most interesting antiquarian musket was recovered by diver Dorrian Ball, Famous for his discovery and recovery of The Diana Shipwreck Cargo and work on The Nanking Cargo. This storage jar was part of his own private collection, I flew to Singapore to meet him and purchase part of his fascinating collection.
