| Antique French Belle Epoque 'Portrait of a Beauty' Watercolour By Oswald Fleuss 1911. This fine watercolour typifies the grand, lavish style of the period between the Franco Prussian and First World War. This grandly dressed woman could well be a socialite or courtesan, probably the grand foyer of The Follies Bergere, sipping Champagne and smoking a cigarette. How elegantly decadant, I really love this painting! it takes one right back to The Belle Epoque. Unframed, in good condition, signed by the Artist lower left. Oswald Fleuss 1911 who flourished in France between 1890-1912. Size: 34.5cm high x 20.75cm wide. | |||||
