SOLD!

This wonderful bowl is regarded as the finest example of this rare polychrome type known as Winslow, which takes its name from the town where the type is found, Winslow, AZ. The dominating characteristic is dark black (in this case glazed) and white paint on a cream to creamy orange background. The design appears to be four arrows in plain fields pointing to the middle, though it is often referred to as “the ice cream bow!” Reassembled from two pieces, no addition of plaster or paint. This type is virtually never seen, in any condition, within the collecting community.

Measures 9” x 3.3".
