Mauchline sewing box by Clark & Co. A souvenir of Scotland. The top has a pictograph of Stirling Castle with "Use Clark & Co's extra quality. It is the best for hand and machine sewing. Note our trademark an "anchor" on the bottom label" around the edge. The inside of the top has the Clark & Co trademark. Around the outside are the pictographs of Kelso Abbey, Abbotsford and Dryburgh Abbey. It measures 4" wide by 2" tall. excellent condition.

On the top is a pictograph of Stirling Castle; on the sides are "Martyrs' Monument," and "Wallace Monument," Abbey Craig." It measures 4" in diameter and 3.5" tall. (The Scottish patriot Wallace was played by Mel Gibson in the movie "Braveheart.")

Beautiful Navajo saddle blanket. Acquired by Vann Manning Jr., Chief of the Bureau of Mines in the Herbert Hoover Administration. He obtained this rug on a trip to the Southwest during his tenure. The colors are vivid, however, over the years some bleeding has occured. It measures 22" x 20".
