Description: A gilt Daoist deity, Jiu Gong Niang Niang, was in brilliant condition. She was uniquely cast in solid type by very good bronze material, and was being carved to every details by excellent craftsmanship( So called Jing Zao or made in the capital city, Beijing). She was cleaned for some time's ago but have yielded the new darken patina. The original old patina was still kept well at the back of her head and down under the lower portion of the back. It proves the ancient date of the rare piece. Date: Mid Qing periods, 18th Century, most likely from Qianlong reign. Height without stand: 16cm, Height including stand 19.8cm. Weight: 1323 grams. A later made wood stand is included. A CUSTOM-MADE SILK BOX IS INCLUDED. |
