Description: A ceramic chess board was uniquely in marble glaze. Well preserved with faded condition on the rim, the chess board was yielded with minute crackles in the glaze. It was a good example rather than a practical ware from its lovely size, never the less the surface pattern was a regular one. A similar piece from earlier date of Sui Dynasty was from documentation. Date: Tang Dynasty, 9th-10th Century. Dimensions: 12cm x 12cm x 2.8cm. A CUSTOM-MADE SILK BOX IS INCLUDED. |
