Description: A SanCai(tri-colored) water pot from Tang Dynasty was in a beautiful look. In a round shape, the ware was applied with characteristic triple colors(usually as brown, yellow and green) on the upper half of the surface, and left the lower portion unglazed. The unglazed portion was revealed with the body clay which was in characteristically refined clay. The beautiful glaze was preserved well but suffused with minute crackles. The burial adhesives were preserved in portions for verification. A SIMILAR PIECE IS IN DOCUMENTATION. Date: Tang Dynasty(619-906). Width: 9.4cm, Height: 5.2cm. A FITTED SILK BOX IS INCLUDED. |
